Two people are injured after a plane crash in the Midlands, earlier today. The crash happened near the Edgefield County airport in the town of Trenton, about 17 miles from Aiken.
First responders were on the scene shortly after 1 PM. WRDW-TV in Augusta reports that a woman who lives near the airport, told them she heard the crash and was notified around 1:30 PM that access to her neighborhood was blocked.
Edgefield County Sheriff Jody Rowland says two people were on board the plane and suffered non-life threatening injuries. No further information was available on the crash, as of the time of this report.
