
More than 50 years ago, Title IX was instituted to help grow women's sports and protect women in sports from discrimination. Now, the Biden Administration is trying to institute changes to Title IX that would protect those who identify as female, regardless of their natural gender.
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson has been fighting these proposed changes. He joined the Tara Show Tuesday morning to speak on the case. Saying " It was a coalition of four states, us (South Carolina), Alabama, Florida and Georgia that were challenging the new imposed rule to require schools receiving federal funding to define sex to include gender identity"
The State Attorney General says the results in court on the case have been mixed, but a recent ruling is a major step forward. Wilson says he sees the legal fight on this issue to continue. Wilson said "I fully expect this case to go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court"
