In an effort to protect the rights of workers in the state, Attorney General Alan Wilson says South Carolina has joined a multi-state effort to push back against vaccine mandates on federal contractors. 20 states total are seeking an immediate end to President Biden's mandate. The AG's Office says many South Carolina companies would be negatively impacted by the mandated requirements.

Wilson said " The power of states protected by the Constitution cannot be wiped away by the President's seizure of power. This is about upholding the Constitution and the rule of law. No President has the authority to do what President Biden is trying to do here. He's not a king".

The list of states besides South Carolina involved in the legal fight against these mandates include Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Texas, South Dakota, West Virginia and Utah.
