A line of thunderstorms is moving through the entire state today and with it the threat of tornado and damaging winds. SCDNR's Climatology Department says a tornado watch is in effect until 1 p.m. which covers most of the state, from Valdosta Georgia to the North Carolina state line.  Counties under watch include Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Richland, Florence, and Chatham.

In the event of a tornado, the best place to take shelter is a basement, or a small, windowless interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
