The results are in for Tuesday’s special election for the State House and Senate.
In State Senate District 12, Republican Lee Bright won unopposed, as did Republican Dianne Mitchell in the race for the State House District 21 seat.
The only contested race was in State House District 88 for Lexington County, which saw Republican John Lastinger take the race over Democrat J Chuck Hightower with roughly 62% of the vote.
Voter turnout for the race was reported at just under seven and a half percent of registered voters in the three districts combined.
