State AG announces settlement with Google

Attorney General Alan Wilson announced Monday that South Carolina, along with 39 other attorneys general, have reached a $391.5 million multistate settlement with Google.

The settlement has to do with Google using location tracking practices relating to Google Account settings. This is the largest multistate attorney general privacy settlement in the history of the United States. South Carolina will receive nearly $8 million from the settlement.
