Governor Henry McMaster will deliver his final State of the State address next Wednesday, January 28th. He’ll speak from the State House beginning at 7 p.m.

McMaster was sworn in as governor in January 2017, following then-Governor Nikki Haley’s appointment as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. He was elected to a full term in November 2018 and re-elected in November 2022.
Later this year, on November 3, 2026, South Carolinians will head to the polls to elect the state’s next governor.
The Republican primary for Governor will be held June 6, 2026 and include candidates:
Pamela Evette (current Lt. Governor)
Josh Kimbrell (current State Senator)
Nancy Mace (current U.S. Representative)
Ralph Norman (current U.S. Representative)
Alan Wilson (current Attorney General)
