A teenage boy is dead after drowning in a Midlands lake over the weekend. The body of 13 year old, Jaelyn Wells was pulled from the water at Kendall Lake in Camden, Saturday.
A member of the Kershaw County Rescue Squad Dive team recovered the boy's body after he went under the water and never resurfaced. The Kershaw County Coroner's Office says, Wells died around 6:30 Sunday morning at MUSC Kershaw Hospital.
Wells had been a student and football player at Camden Middle School and was preparing for his Freshman year at Camden High.
