Another earthquake, the fifth since Monday was reported in the Midlands early Wednesday morning. State Emergency Management officials say a two-point-four magnitude quake rolled through the Columbia area near Elgin just after 4 AM Wednesday. That's the same area that was shaken by four tremors in the previous 36 hours. There were no reports of any damage from this tremor. Earthquakes in the two-point-five range usually go unnoticed by the general public.
