At least three reality romance shows have placed limits on how much alcohol their cast members can drink, according to Jezebel. Too Hot to Handle, a Netflix show, offers its couples $100,000 not to engage in any sexual activity. It also imposes a two-drink-per-night maximum. “They limited us to two drinks a night, and they had to give them to you,” says Bryce Hirschberg, a contestant on the show. “So they were very much, believe it or not, looking out for us during this whole thing. They didn’t want us to look bad.” Love Island has a two-drink max too. After a 2017 scandal involving dubious consent, there's now a two-drink-maximum per hour on Bachelor in Paradise. However, cast members often request those drinks toward the tail end of the hour and the beginning of the next.
