Grimes recently revealed that her 16-month-old doesn’t call her mom.
The 33-year-old musician, whose full name is Claire Elise Boucher, appeared in a behind-the-scenes video for Vogue that followed her preparation routine for this year’s Met Gala, People reports.

"I think having a baby was a big rebirth for me, like artistically," Grimes said. "Being a mother feels weird to say. For some reason, I don't identify with that word," she added.
"Which is also really weird because X, he says 'Claire,' but he doesn't say 'mama.' Which is so...I'm like, 'How are you...?'" she continued. "Like, maybe he can sense my distaste for the word 'mother.'"
The artist and producer added, "I don't even know why I have a distaste for [the word] because I respect…I just, I don't, I can't identify with it, weirdly."

Grimes shares son X AE A-XII with Elon Musk.
In January, she gave him his own at-home Viking haircut.
She documented the new ‘do on her Instagram Stories, writing: “Not sure this haircut went well but he’s Viking now.” The photo shows the infant sitting in a bathtub with his hair styled in a mohawk.
The couple initially named the newborn “X Æ A-12 Musk” but had to change the name as special characters and numbers are not allowed by California law.
The baby's first name is X, according to the birth certificate, which Grimes explained previously as "the unknown variable." AE, she explained, is pronounced "ash" and is Grimes' "elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence."
In a previous interview, she explained that she and her baby are not watching traditional media created for kids and explains that her son has varying tastes and interest.
“I’ve watched ‘Apocalypse Now’ and stuff with my baby," she noted.
For a brief period this year, Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, surpassed Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos as the richest person in the world with a net worth of $191 billion.
