Contest Rules 2025 

These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by Audacy Colorado, LLC d/b/a KALC (“Station” or “KALC”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are on the Station’s website at www.alice1059.com/rules. To the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest.

How To Enter

1.      NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST.

2.      Beginning at approximately 6:00am (MT) on Monday, November 24, 2025, and until 10:00AM (MT) on Monday, December 1, 2025 individuals may make Nominations (each, a “Nominator”) by visiting www.alice1059.com, clicking on the BJ & Jamie’s Giving Tree Contest Page, and completing the online form (the “Nomination”). No other methods of Nomination will be included for consideration in this contest (i.e. Station will not accept verbal wishes in person or over the phone, or written entries submitted by mail or in person). NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY STATION BY 10:00AM (MT) ON Monday, December 1, 2025.

3.      All “Nominations” MUST include the following information:

a.  Nominator’s name and email address;

b.  First and last name of the person whose family is being nominated (the “Nominee”);

c.  Nominee’s email address, daytime, evening and (if available) cell phone number;

d.  The name(s), age(s), clothing size(s), shoe size(s), favorite movies/TV show/cartoon characters/hobbies, favorite colors of Nominee’s child/children; and

e.  A short fifty (50) word essay about Nominee/Nominee’s family. 

                                     i.  Limit one (1) Nomination per Entry. 

                                    ii.  Any Nomination that is missing any of the foregoing information will be disqualified by Station in its sole and absolute discretion (determined by Station on a case by case basis). 

                                   iii.  Information provided in essays/explanations need not be truthful and Station has no obligation and does not intend to verify any such information; however, in the event that the falsity of any such information makes the award of any prize in this contest unusable (in whole or in part), winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize (in Station’s sole discretion), such prize will remain the property of the Station, and such winner shall not be entitled to any alternative prize nor cash value of any forfeited prize.

4.      Nominators may nominate themselves and their own family, or another individual and that individual’s family. 

5.      IT IS THE NOMINATOR’S RESPONSIBILITY PRIOR TO ENTERING THIS CONTEST TO OBTAIN THE CONSENT OF THE NOMINEE FOR STATION READING/POSTING THE NOMINATOR’S ESSAY WITH RESPECT TO THE NOMINEE’S NAME AND OR OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE NOMINEE OR NOMINEE’S FAMILY THAT NOMINATOR MAY ELECT TO INCLUDE IN SUCH ESSAY. BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, NOMINATORS AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS STATION AND ITS AFFILIATED COMPANIES AND EMPLOYEES FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM BY ANY PERSONS RELATING TO THE CONTENT OF THE ESSAY SUBMITTED BY THE NOMINATOR.

6.      By entering this contest, Nominators certify that any information contained in the essay/explanation does not contain any defamatory or indecent material. By submitting a Nomination in this contest, each Nominator authorizes the Station to post such essay and/or Nominator’s name to the Station’s website or to read it on-air in whole or in part. Station reserves the right to edit a Nomination in its sole discretion. Not all Nominations will be posted to the Station’s website and/or read on-air and in the event that Station posts or read any such Nomination it does not mean that such Nomination has been or may be selected to win any prize in this contest. 

7.      By entering this contest, Nominators understand and agree that Station may elect to use any Nomination submitted for entertainment purposes and may choose to comment on, mock, poke fun at, and/or mimic any Nomination submitted. Nominators waive any right to make any claim against Station or any contest sponsors with respect to any comments – disparaging or otherwise – made regarding such Nominator’s Nomination. 

How To Win

8.      From time to time between 10:00AM (MT) Monday, December 1, 2025 and 5:00PM (MT) on Tuesday, December 1, 2025, KALC will select up to twenty (20) Nominees, based upon any lawful criteria including without limitation the content of the Nomination, subject to the restrictions contained in these contest rules and verification of eligibility.

a.  Station will subjectively determine which and how many Nominees to select and the criteria used by Station to make such selection(s) will be wholly at the discretion of KALC on a Nomination-by-Nomination basis. ALL SELECTED NOMINEES WINNERS WILL BE DETERMINED BY 5:00AM (MT) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

b.  KALC reserves the right (but is not obligated) to attempt to contact a selected Nominee on one or more occasions or on one or more phone lines and will NOT be required to contact all selected Nominees the same number of times. KALC reserves the right to not award and keep any “Nomination” prizes that are not awarded in accordance with the foregoing. 

c.  Station has no obligation to contact the Nominator to advise them that their Nominee was selected. However, by entering this contest, Nominator authorizes the Station to notify the Nominee of the Nominator’s name (if Station elects to do so). If Station is unable to contact the Nominee at the number provided in the entry, Station may elect to contact a Nominator for additional information but Station will not be obligated to do so. Once the Nominator has provided whatever contact information the Nominator has regarding their Nominee, Station shall thereafter treat only such Nominee as the winner in this contest. 

9.      Station will solicit on air by Tuesday, December 1, 2025 for individuals and/or families (each a “Host”) to “adopt” each of the selected Nominees and their families by purchasing gift(s) for the Nominee and the Nominee’s family as requested in submission (or more), and provide such Host with the following information about the Nominee and family such Host has elected to “adopt”:

a.  The first names and ages of Nominee and Nominee’s family members; and

b.  The name(s), age(s), clothing size(s), shoe size(s), favorite movies/TV show/cartoon characters/hobbies, favorite colors of Nominee’s child/children.

c.  Station will NOT provide Host with Nominee’s last name, phone number(s), email address(es), or any other personal or contact information; provided, however, should the Host and Nominee decide to exchange information on their own, Station takes no responsibility whatsoever for that exchange or for any communication stemming from the exchange of contact information.

10.     Hosts must deliver all gifts they have purchased for the Nominee and the Nominee’s family that such Host “adopted” by not later than 2:00pm (MT) on Monday, December 15, 2025 to the Station, 4700 South Syracuse Street, Denver, CO 80237 Suite 1050 or the location of the Station’s Giving Tree Event scheduled from approximately 5:00pm (MT) to 8:00pm (MT) at Dave & Buster’s, 2000 S Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80222 (the “Giving Tree Event”) on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

a.  Host family(ies) need not remain at or attend the actual Giving Tree Event.

b.  Nominees and/or the Nominee’s family do not need to be present at the Giving Tree Event on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in order to receive the gifts that the Host purchased for them; if they are not present they may pick up their gifts at the radio station during regular business hours.

11.    Station is not in any way responsible for the condition, quality, and/or value of any gift items purchased for Nominee and/or Nominee family by Host, which such items are provided in “as is” condition. 

12.     The odds of a Nominee being selected in this Contest depends upon the number of Nominations received.

13.     In addition to the gift items that a Host purchases for a Nominee and/or the Nominee’s family, each verified Nominee in this Contest will receive a Giving Tree package from the Sponsors valued at approximately $300.00 and consisting of the following:

·   One (1) $125.00 Gift card, cash or prize equivalent courtesy of Postman Law

·  One (1) $100 Gift Card, cash or prize equivalent courtesy of Steele Bros Heating

·  One (1) $100 Gift card, cash or prize equivalent courtesy of Longmont Dairy

·  Game vouchers and dinner courtesy of Dave & Busters

Other Rules Specific to This Contest

The entry process may require Nominators to login to, or to create, a free account with the third-party provider of a software platform used by the Station for such Contest(s) (“Software Provider”), by going to the Website, clicking on the Contest entry link, and completing and submitting the online registration form with all required information.a.  Limit one (1) account with the Software Provider per email address.b.  Software Provider is not a sponsor of this Contest, but Nominators may be required, as part of the entry process, to agree and consent to the Software Provider’s terms of service and/or privacy policy, both of which will be available via a link during the entry or account registration process (collectively, the “Software Provider Policies”).c.  If the Nominator elects to have their entry form pre-loaded or pre-populated with information from the Nominator’s Facebook, Twitter, Google, or LinkedIn profiles, such Nominator authorizes the Software Provider and the Station to access, utilize and/or pre-load to such entry form, applicable portions of Nominator’s profile information from such account. d.  While agreement to the Software Provider Policies may be required in order to enter the Contest, the Software Provider Policies are not a part of these Contest Rules but are a separate agreement between the Nominator and Software Provider. In the event of any conflict between the Software Provider Policies and the Rules, the Rules will govern.e.  Station is not responsible for any error or technical malfunctions associated with the Software Provider site that may affect any Nominator’s ability to enter, to win, or to be properly considered in the Contest, regardless of the cause. In the event of a malfunction associated with the Software Provider site that the Station in its sole and absolute discretion deems to materially and adversely affect the Contest, the Station reserves the right to (1) suspend the Contest; (2) terminate the Contest without a Winner; (3) terminate the Contest and select a Winner early; (4) provide alternative means of entry; and/or make any other changes to the Contest that the Station deems appropriate under the circumstances. Any such changes, terminations or suspensions will be published on the Contest Rules Page, and in the Station’s sole and absolute discretion, may also be announced on-air, published elsewhere on the Website, and/or published on social media.f.  Employees of Software Provider and its affiliates, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to win in this Contest.
