“I am doing great. I’ve had my very own ‘It’s a wonderful life’ week of people insisting I make the world slightly better,” the actor wrote. “Wow! Thank you, I love everyone right now but let’s keep expectations reasonable!”
It was back on July 27th that Odenkirk collapsed while filming the AMC series in New Mexico. He was rushed to a hospital and a day later was said to be awake and stable.
After fans and celebrities like Bryan Cranston shared their thoughts and prayers, Odenkirk released a statement revealing the cause of his collapse and gratitude for everyone’s love and support.
“I had a small heart attack. But I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery,” he tweeted. “Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level. I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon.”
Odenkirk portrays lawyer Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman on “Better Call Saul,” a spin-off of the wildly popular series “Breaking Bad."
At the time of Odenkirk’s medical scare, production on the show’s sixth and final season was halted.
While AMC has yet to announce a premiere date for the series, it isn’t expected to launch until 2022.
