Michael Bloomfield
Bloomfield may be the favorite guitarist of your favorite guitarist. Immersed in the Chicago blues scene, Bloomfield shared the stage with the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and other essential Chicago blues artists. Outside the blues, he collaborated with artists like Bob Dylan, Dr. John, Janis Joplin, and many more.
Peter Green
Green was one of the co-founders of Fleetwood Mac as his fusion blues/jazz/psychedelic guitar style saw the band have a much different sound than what they became known for later in their career. Green was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac in 1998.
Jorma Kaukonen
Best known for his work with Jefferson Airplane, Kaukonen has had an acclaimed career outside the band including 50-plus years as part of Hot Tuna. Kaukonen has also performed on several occasions with Grateful Dead members including Phil Lesh and Tom Constanten.
Danielle Haim
Danielle Haim may be best known as the lead guitarist of HAIM, but she cut her chops on the road for several years before the sisters made HAIM their full-time gig. Earlier in her career, Danielle worked as a touring guitarist for both Jenny Lewis and Julian Casablancas of The Strokes.
Hillel Slovak
The Israeli-born musician was the original guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and played on the band's first three studio albums. Rooted in funk, Slovak's guitar playing incorporated elements of metal, hard rock, reggae, and plenty of other styles that gave Red Hot Chili Peppers their distinct sound.
Nina Gordon
Gordon is one of the co-founders of the iconic alternative group Veruca Salt and wrote some of the band's biggest hits including "Seether" and "Volcano Girls." Outside of her work with Veruca Salt, Gordon has had an acclaimed solo career having released two solo albums.
