For fans of ‘Twin Peaks,’ the Double R Diner holds a special place in their heart. Sadly the real life version of the iconic diner, Twede’s Cafe, has been struggling due to the coronavirus. Now, actor Kyle MacLachlan is hoping to help, sharing a GoFundMe for the “Twede’s Cafe Employee Relief Fund.”
The diner, which is located in North Bend, Washington, has dealt with struggle like many restaurants around the country due to the coronavirus. MacLachlan, who played Agent Cooper in the original series, and Cooper/Dougie Jones in the revival, is doing what he can to help keep the diner afloat. The actor said the diner “is an important landmark for #TwinPeaks fans. They have set up a GoFundMe to assist their staff. If you’re able to, please donate or share their story.”
Not only is MacLachlan trying to help the diner, but he is also doing his part to keep fans stuck at home entertained. He will be live tweeting during the show’s pilot episode airing Wednesday. With so many struggling, the actor is clearly doing whatever he can to help.
