When someone hires a lawyer, usually their hope is that their attorney has a good relationship with the judge. However, for one lawyer in Texas, building that relationship may be a bit difficult after he admitted to egging the judge’s car. According to reports, the attorney egged the car due to the judge’s stay-at-home order during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eric Yollick, an attorney based in The Woodlands, has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal mischief stemming from a March 27th incident between himself and Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough. “I threw one egg at Judge Keough’s car. I did this for all the right reasons. Mark needed to get this message because he wasn’t listening to people,” said Yollick.
The incident occurred as the judge was leaving his office, and according to Yollick his original plan was to hand the egg to the judge. “It was a humorous gesture between friends: ‘You laid an egg on Montgomery County, so here’s an egg for you,’” said Yollick. Still, Yollick clearly was upset about the stay-at-home order, throwing the egg instead. Now, he will have to hope his lawyer skills can get him out of this one.
