Michael Jordan has become one of the most recognizable names in the world, not only due to his extremely successful basketball career, but the endorsements he signed along the way as well. While the world knows of the deals he was a part of, it’s the one’s he turned down that seem to amaze people more. Jordan’s agent recently shared the story of one of these declined opportunities, and the compensation he was offered is shocking.

With ESPN currently airing a Michael Jordan centered documentary about the 1998 Chicago Bulls, fans are looking into the personality of the Hall of Famer more than ever before. Jordan’s long time agent, David Falk, recently sat down to discuss his client, and gave an inside look at the level of success Jordan achieved. “I brought him a deal three years ago for $100 million. All he had to do was, other than giving his name and likeness, make one two-hour appearance to announce the deal and he turned it down,” said Falk.

While most could never dream of turning a deal like that down, apparently it wasn’t worth it for Jordan. It seems the sports icon took his business career just as seriously as his basketball career.
