With restaurants around the country starting to open up again, many potential customers are wondering how going out to eat may look moving forward. One restaurant in Virginia came up with an idea to try to keep things as normal as possible, while adhering to social distancing rules. However, their idea seems more likely to scare people away, than attract them to come and eat.

The Inn at Little Washington, a three Michelin-star restaurant in Virginia, has decided to fill their empty seats with dressed up mannequins in order to make customers feel more comfortable. “I've always had a thing for mannequins -- they never complain about anything and you can have lots of fun dressing them up," said chef Patrick O'Connell. The restaurant is set to reopen indoor seating on May 29.

Once reopened, The Inn at Little Washington will keep the restaurant at 50% capacity, thus the need to fill out the rest of the seats with mannequins. They will be dressed as couples dressed in a 1940's style. While it may seem like a good way to keep the restaurant full, it may seem a little odd for eaters to be surrounded by fake eaters.
