One of Texas’ premier summer music festivals has officially been cancelled. Organizers for 2019’s Float Fest announced on Friday that this year’s event will be cancelled due to “several recent roadblocks.” The two day event was supposed to take place in June, but instead will look to reschedule for 2020.

Float Fest organizers claim the cancellation of the event was out of their control, after they weren’t able to set up their new concert grounds in Gonzales, Texas in time. “We have been working around the clock to prepare the new festival site in Gonzales, but at this time we don’t feel the grounds are ready to fully showcase everything Float Fest is about,” said a statement released by Float Fest organizers.

Float Fest had been held along the San Marcos river, but were forced to a new location after permits were not secured by festival organizers. The two day concert had an action pact lineup, including; Portugal. The Man, The Flaming Lips, Big Gigantic, Ice Cube and many more. Ticket holders will receive a full refund, although concert organizers hope Float Fest will be back by 2020.
