Just two weeks out from Christmas Day, though a ton of folks will have their holidays ruined because today, December 11, also happens to be known as "Breakup Day."
For whatever reason, more couples seem to break up on Dec. 11 more than any other day of the year. And because someone crunched the data and found that more breakups occur on Mondays more than any other day of the week, we're in for a double-whammy today.
According to the NY Post, experts have a few reasons for why they believe more couple break up today of all days: The holidays are stressful; you might be having second thoughts about the person meeting your family; and a surprising number of us will break up just to get out of buying someone a gift!
And the day couples are least likely to break up? Two weeks from today, December 25! This completely makes sense; breaking up with someone on Christmas is just cruel.
