As many people are aware, Texas Governor Greg Abbott tested positive for COVID-19 last week. He's been self-isolating and says his symptoms are very mild because he was vaccinated. Today, he took another test that came out negative.

The state leader posted a video with his updated status. He included that the vaccine is what kept his case from being severe. He also encouraged everyone to get the vaccine. Fellow Texan-- and possible gubernatorial candidate-- Matthew McConaughey publicly thanked Abbott for spreading the word about the positive effects of getting the shot.
