Usually when I pick a topic for a blog, it's something that I'm interested in. Not this time. I'm taking one for the team, because I know how much people love their craft beers, and there's some info in this list that CraftBeer.com put together that might be useful to you.
They put together a list of the "Great American Beer Bars," a.k.a. the best bar in every state according to reader feedback. Now, I know you most likely don't give a shit what the best beer bar in Iowa is, but you might give a shit about NY/NJ/CT. If you don't feel like clicking and scrolling, I'll tell you what they are.
New York: Covenhoven in Brooklyn.
New Jersey: Grant Street Cafe in Dumont.
And in Connecticut: Willimantic Brewing Co. in Willimantic.
Now, I was lying a bit at the top when I said I really wasn't into craft beers. That's not entirely true. We got a great spot right down the street in my hometown of Rahway that's pretty damn spectacular. It's called Wet Ticket Brewing, and their watermelon brew is the perfect summer beer.
Come on in for one! I'm buying.
