This animal sighting is what you would call "up close and personal."

A new viral video captured a massive bison walking in the middle of a busy road in Yellowstone National Park on Wednesday, bringing traffic to a crawl, reported ABC News.

The clip shows the wild animal taking its time as a line of cars slowly follows behind. The video was captured by someone sitting in the opposite lane of traffic, which was also brought to a complete halt.

“Oh my god,” can be heard saying in the background of the video. “Oh, he’s cute.”

Wild animal sightings are not uncommon to the Wyoming area. Unfortunately, however, not all encounters are as peaceful as this one.

In July 2020, a woman was told to “play dead” after she was chased by a charging bison in the same area.

The encounter, which was caught on video, shows the bison running after the woman, who in true horror film fashion, trips, and falls. The bison stops to take a few seconds to apparently sniff the woman, and then slowly walks away.

In May, another woman was charged by a grizzly bear after she came too close to the female and her two cubs in the Roaring Mountain area of the park.

The woman reportedly did not return to her vehicle when the bear was spotted, while others from the small group of tourists ran for it. Once the bear began to charge her, she moved away.

The woman is now facing criminal charges.

Visitors to the park are required to stay at least 25 yards away from large animals, including bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose and coyotes, and at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves.
