Between shows with Weezer and Warped Tour standout sets, the Torrance, California Pop-Punk group have once again leveled up with their new album, I Used To Go To This Bar, now available everywhere. Produced by Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion and co-signed by some of our favorite artists like blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Joyce Manor continues to find new fans at every turn.

"We're kind of like the Zoloft of music, a slow release capsule instead of peaking early," jokes Barry Johnson about their success. "You know, that's how it feels."

Talking about the process of writing music, the band shares that they have an assembly line approach to creating. "I'll usually have a chord, a chord progression and the melody and the lyrics, and then I'll sit down with Chase," says Barry. "He's kind of the first person I'll show something to and say, 'what do you think of this?' And I really trust Chase's taste and we work really well together and then he will like sit with it and usually come up with a guitar part, like a hook or something."

"And then we'll get together with Matt, and Matt will kind of like be the last ingredient that that ties it together," he adds. "Sometimes we get full psycho mode with something and then he's just like, 'oh my God.' Matt is the voice of reason."

Join us as the band talks about their latest project, and rips through a set of songs like only Joyce Manor could. Listen and watch above.
