The San Diego Padres announced on Monday morning that MLB's owners have unanimously approved the franchise's new ownership group led by Kwanza Jones and Jose E. Feliciano. Feliciano has been designated as the Club's Control Person. Feliciano is the managing partner and co-founder of investment firm Clearlake Capital. Feliciano has experience in sports ownership, as he's part of the group that purchased English Premier League team Chelsea F.C.
