Tom Brady Faces Backlash for Cliff Diving With 6-Year-Old Daughter

He may be the GOAT on the football field, but Tom Brady has his fair share of critics on the parenting front.

The New England Patriots quarterback and future hall of famer was seen in an Instagram video over the weekend jumping off a cliff with his 6-year-old daughter Vivian.

The daddy-daughter moment begins with the two standing high above a waterfall in Costa Rica, holding hands and getting ready to jump.

As they count to three, however, Vivian appears to tense up -- but her 6-foot-4, 225-pound dad has already taken the leap, pulling her along for the ride.

"If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won't be in synchonized diving," Brady joked in the caption.

Some commenters on the video were quick to scold Brady for taking the leap when his daughter didn't appear to be ready.

"Dude...not cool," one commenter wrote. "If she was of equal mass this wouldn’t have looked so horrific."

Others defended the six-time Super Bowl champ, and lauded Vivian for her bravery.

The video also got the attention of such famous faces as Hobbs & Shaw star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who posted: "You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father - but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus."
