Over the weekend, world-famous electronic music producer deadmau5 took over New York City's hottest summer venue for a truly incredible two-hour set at sundown.
Though Mother Nature tried to not cooperate with unusually cold temperatures and constant rain, the rooftop at Pier 17 was transformed with unmistakable energy the Canadian producer spins out. With the Brooklyn Bridge serving as the backdrop for the new rooftop against the city skyline, deadmau5 spun a special set combining a variety of music genres into one infectious dance-filled evening.

With stretches of thumping techno, elements of deep-house mixed with hip-hop, the bass-forward womps of dubstep and a host of deadmau5 classics paired with his trademark Cube 2.1 production and mesmerizing lighting -- the crowd was routinely thrown into a frenzy of electronic music bliss.
The NYC show highlighted material from the producer's newest collection of music, mau5ville: level 1, which premiered this summer on his mau5trap label, and his hot new single, "Monophobia" ft. Rob Swine. For all of the deadmau5 fans eager for more new music, don't worry, mau5ville: level 2 is coming soon!
