The Milwaukee Brewers and outfielder Christian Yelich are close to a seven-year, $200M extension according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Yelich won the NL MVP in 2018 with a .326 batting average, 36 home runs, and 110 RBIs. He finished second-place in the MVP voting last season after breaking his kneecap in September. The Brewers star has a career .301 average, with 149 career homers and 500 RBIs.
Yelich will be a Brewer for the next nine seasons as the final two years of his current contract will reportedly be honored, making him a Brewer through the 2028 season.
The former MVP will reportedly make nearly $30-35 million per season.
