Steve Scott has been afternoon news anchor at WCBS Newsradio 880 since 2006. Before coming to WCBS, Steve spent 20 years in Chicago radio news, including 13 years as news director and morning anchor at the legendary WLS. Career highlights include reporting on the aftermath of 9/11, covering the Bosnia and Kosovo conflicts overseas, and questioning Fidel Castro during a reporting trip to Cuba. Steve has reported on every U.S. president since Jimmy Carter, which is a nice way of saying he’s been around for a while. He's won a bunch of awards along the way, for which he is grateful. A three-term Past President of both the New York Press Club and the Illinois News Broadcasters Association, Steve finally graduated from San Jose State University in 2020, more than 40 years after he started there as a freshman.
