    Bio:

Steve Simpson was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia and attended Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

While still in college, he got his first paying job as a disc jockey and later a talk show host. A job offer from an oldies station landed him in Indianapolis in 1987. Five years later, Simpson was hired as a talk show host and newscaster for WIBC Radio.

Over the following 22 years, he served as the station’s main anchor and had a front row seat for some of the decades’ biggest stories, including 9/11, every election (including Bush v. Gore), the Indiana State Fair stage collapse and dozens of severe weather events, including several tornado outbreaks.

Simpson is no stranger to Minnesota. His sister’s family has lived in Buffalo for the last 10 years, so he’s excited to call Minnesota home. His only regret? That he didn’t get here sooner!

Steve’s an avid follower of politics, which may explain why in his free time he enjoys going to the theatre. He lives in the Loring Park neighborhood, but enjoys spending time in many of the unique neighborhoods of the Twin Cities, exploring all they have to offer.
