PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Made in America festival is returning to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway this Labor Day weekend.

The lineup has not been released yet, but tickets, including two-day passes, are available for shows on Sept. 4 and 5.

The annual festival, which was founded by Jay-Z in 2012, was canceled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Mayor Jim Kenney said Made in America has become one of Philadelphia’s iconic events, and the city plans to help executive a safe and successful 2021 festival.

“Today’s announcement shows that after more than 15 months of responding to the pandemic, our city is on a path towards recovery and a return to the things we’ve missed — like live shows!” he said in a statement.

The ACLU of Pennsylvania is a benefiting charity.

The city is lifting COVID-19 restrictions on June 11, including limits to gathering sizes. Organizers of events of all sizes are now able to apply for permits.
