The battle over Britney Spears’ conservatorship continues.
On Thursday, a judge overruled the pop star’s father, Jamie Spears, who had objections to an order that had established Bessemer Trust Co. as co-conservator, reported Variety.

The singer had previously filed a petition to have Jamie removed as sole conservator over her estate. In November, a judge denied Britney’s petition, but added Bessemer Trust as a co-conservator alongside her father.
Britney’s lawyer, Samuel Ingham, had then submitted a proposed order of how the co-conservatorship would be delegated. Jamie’s lawyer, Vivian Thoreen, objected to some of the language in the order on grounds that he felt it reduced his powers over Britney’s estate.
Those objections have now been denied. Following the hearing, Jamie and Bessemer Trust Co. are expected to work together on a budget and investment proposal for Britney’s estate, reported NBC News.
A follow-up hearing is set to take place next month, the outlet noted.
The hearing comes less than a week after the airing of “Framing Britney Spears,” which documented the pop star’s rise and scrutinized her long standing conservatorship.
Britney’s father has been her legal conservator since 2008.
