Nittany Lion Beach Blitz

DETAILS: Calling all Nittany Lion fans, we’re playing football! Join Penn State football players on the beach for a free one-day football camp for kids. It is designed for 4th to 8th graders to learn about teamwork, competition, respect, sportsmanship and more importantly, how to have fun.

Fourth of July Bike Parade
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, July 4 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Sacred Heart Church, 751 Main Ave., Point Pleasant Beach
DETAILS: Gear up for the fifth annual Fourth of July bike parade in Point Pleasant.The parade goes down Clayton Avenue and Lake Avenue. Then bikers go onto Bridge Avenue to finish in Centennial Park. And, don’t forget to dress up your bikes, wagon or golf carts for a chance to win prizes.

Cape May Independence Day Parade

DATE/TIME: Saturday, July 1 at 1 p.m.
WHERE: Beach Avenue, Cape May
DETAILS: Independence Day came early this year and in parade form. The Cape May Independence Parade features string bands, performing groups, autos, veteran organizations and local officials. Best of all, you can show off your red, white and blue at the “Best Decorated” contest. Dress up your golf carts, bicycles or baby carriages by June 30 for a chance to win first, second and third place prizes.

Mickey and Minnie Celebrate the Fourth

DATE/TIME: Monday, July 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Excursion Park, 2 41st St., Sea Isle City
DETAILS: Mickey and Minnie will put on their patriotic best and celebrate the Fourth of July in Sea Isle. This event kicks off a summer’s worth of performances with all of your favorite characters like the minions, Jedis and Disney princesses alike. Every Monday from now until August 28 enjoy interactive live performances and family-friendly activities.

Ventnor Independence Celebration
DATE/TIME: Monday, July 3 at 5 p.m.
WHERE: Newport Avenue, Ventnor City
DETAILS: Celebrate the Fourth of July Ventnor-style. The Independence Day Celebration starts at 5 p.m. with crafters and food vendors. Then at 6 p.m., you can register for the Ventnor Mile with the race and concert starting at 7! End the night with a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
