COVID-19 has changed the way that we do so many things, like just going out to get a bite to eat, which has had a huge impact on our local restaurants, so Entercom Upstate, is donating this time to let you know who is #NowServing, like Ciclops Cyderi & Brewery!
Ciclops Cyderi and Brewery, like many others, has shifted from almost all on-premise sales to now making everything to-go. Owner Jill Edwards misses serving the community who has made Ciclops Cyderi and Brewery a friendly and popular gathering spot.
In the meantime, Ciclops Cyderi is serving family meals like, chicken stew and crackers and coconut chocolate chip banana bread, as well as meaty meatball sub packages that feed 4 for less than $30! There are even vegan options, along with beer and wine to-go.
"Ciclops Cyderi (later to become 'and Brewery') started in 2014, at Kolby and Cindy (The Ciclops, you know, Cindy with one 'i'...in her name) Garrison's home, in Lyman, SC.
Kolby never really got the chance to be a homebrewer. In April of 2014, he brewed his first successful cider and by the summer, his first beer. Most of what was made was given away or traded, in fact, they never dreamed of opening a cidery or brewery, this was someone else's dream that eventually became their own. By August of that year, Kolby was preparing a business plan for a Cidery/Brewery/Taphouse which would be the first of its kind in South Carolina.
The beers and ciders that were produced, and that are being produced today, reflect the character of not only the Garrison's, but the core staff that have given themselves to making CC&B seriously fun.
Their slogan, "Making Absurd the Norm" means brewing classic German beers to style alongside beers 'dry hopped' with waffles or baseball bats. It means creating ciders with flavors from around the world that have never been tried before while honoring the simple apple that made it. It means never taking ourselves too seriously but always making good liquid."
