The 9th Annual Tails & Trails 5K Walk/Run takes place Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Conestee Park in Greenville, South Carolina. The race begins at 8:30 AM, with race day packet pickup starting at 7:30 AM and an advance pickup available on Friday, May 8 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Set on the scenic trails of Conestee Park, this event welcomes runners, walkers, families, and dog lovers of all experience levels.
More than just a race, Tails & Trails supports the lifesaving work of Greenville County Animal Care. Proceeds help fund pet adoptions, low-cost spay and neuter services, and community programs that keep animals safe and in loving homes. Every participant plays a role in making a difference.
The event offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with a dog-friendly course, local vendors, and post-race activities. An awards ceremony will recognize top finishers overall and across multiple age groups.
Registration is available at tiered pricing leading up to race day, with early registration encouraged to guarantee an event t-shirt. Children six and under can participate for free. Participants can also choose to fundraise to further support animal care efforts in the community.
