Kacey Musgraves voted ineligible for consideration in Country category at the GRAMMY Awards

After the release of her album Star-Crossed last month, Kacey Musgraves, has been notified the project was deemed ineligible for consideration in the Country Album category at the GRAMMY Awards, scheduled for January 31, 2022.

According to Billboard, Musgraves’ label president, Cindy Mabe of Universal Music Group Nashville sent a letter to Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr, expressing her concern and frustrations surrounding the Recording Academy’s decision.
