With just two NFL games this weekend, the task of finding anytime touchdown scorers is a little more difficult than a normal week. The silver lining is that we have four teams that are more than capable of finding the end zone multiple times during the AFC and NFC championship games. With that in mind, we’ve picked out the most valuable anytime touchdown bet on every team.
Commanders WR Dyami Brown vs. Eagles (+350)
The Eagles finished last week’s game with a banged-up secondary, which should open the door for Jayden Daniels to have another big game. If you take away the Week 18 game he left early, Daniels has thrown multiple touchdown passes in seven straight games, so any Washington receiver is a solid anytime touchdown bet. Philadelphia will probably focus on trying to stop Terry McLaurin, which makes sense, although Brown has been Washington’s best receiver during the playoffs. His targets have increased since the start of December and he’s been involved in a lot of big plays. Despite just one touchdown during the regular season, Brown found the end zone during the Wild Card round and has a lot of value as an anytime touchdown scorer in the NFC Championship Game.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert vs. Commanders (+290)
The odds for Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts as anytime touchdown scorers just aren’t lucrative enough, even if they seem like safe picks. That means you have to look toward Philadelphia’s receivers to find value. Unfortunately, the usual suspects haven’t been involved during the playoffs with Hurts throwing for just 259 yards over two playoff games. That brings us to Goedert, who is the co-leader in both targets and receptions during Philly’s two playoff games. Hurts looks more comfortable on short and medium passes right now, so Goedert should continue to see plenty of targets. He also had a memorable catch-and-run touchdown during the Wild Card round. The kicker is that the Commanders rank near the top in terms of touchdowns scored by opposing touchdowns, which increases Goedert’s value as an anytime touchdown scorer.
Bills QB Josh Allen vs. Chiefs (+115)
If Allen is going to get plus odds as an anytime touchdown scorer, you have to take a chance on him. This isn’t just about the incredible touchdown run he had against the Chiefs during the regular season that was borderline embarrassing for the Kansas City defense. In big games, Allen has the green light to run whenever he wants and the Bills aren’t afraid to call designed runs. It’s also a given that inside the two-yard line, Allen is going to sneak into the end zone. If you exclude Week 18, Allen has scored at least one rushing touchdown in seven of his last nine games. It’s not a coincidence that such a streak has happened late in the season in important games, as the Bills will continue to let Allen’s legs carry them as far as he can take them. How can you say no to plus odds for Allen as an anytime touchdown scorer?
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy vs. Bills (+200)
In past playoff losses to the Chiefs, Buffalo struggled with the speed of Tyreek Hill. Look for Worthy to assume that role as the player whose speed gives the Bills fits. In fairness, Travis Kelce seems like the obvious choice because he certainly looked like Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target last week. However, Worthy was second on the Chiefs in targets and led the team in receiving touchdowns during the regular season. He also has Mahomes’ trust, which means Worthy will see plenty of targets in the AFC Championship Game. In fact, the Chiefs will do their best to get the ball to Worthy to see if the Bills can handle his speed. That makes him a more valuable anytime touchdown pick than Kelce.
