Exact Score Best Bets for NFC & AFC Championship Games

Breaking down two longshot exact score bets for the Eagles vs. Commanders and Chiefs vs. Bills matchups.

Let’s be honest, you are here because you want a longshot bet for the Conference Championship games for this weekend. It is always fun to have a parlay or a longshot to sweat out in these football games all day, and one of the most popular ways to do that is by taking an exact score for the game. It isn’t a parlay, but simply trying to guess the exact final score, which is obviously very difficult and unlikely to actually hit.

However, that is why you usually can get odds upwards of 20/1 or more on some of these wagers, and throwing some beer or pizza money down on it probably isn’t going to break the bank for you. If it does, I would encourage you to stop betting. These are fun wagers that are meant just to have some action on the game for my fellow degens out there, so I’m going to give out my favorite exact score bet in these games, and you can tail if you wish for some baby peanuts.

NFC Championship: Eagles 24 - Commanders 17 (+12500, BetMGM)

I like the Eagles to cover the -6 spread in this game, but I also think it is going to be a lower-scoring contest. Taking my favorite side and total in the game into mind, I think this score of 24-17 is a very probable outcome for the NFC Championship game. It is a very common score in the NFL that occurs fairly often, and while I can’t really handicap why it would land on that exact score, I can tell you why I like these sides.

It feels to me that the Commanders’ luck and Cinderella run will finally come to an end. The Eagles defense has been fantastic this season, ranking No. 1 in the NFL in yards per play and No. 1 against the pass. They have been phenomenal at home as well, so I think the magic may run dry for rookie Jayden Daniels and Washington. I imagine that Philly will continue to run their offense through RB Saquon Barkley and that offensive line, and with the Commanders ranking 30th against the run, they should find some success.

QB Jalen Hurts is also dealing with an injury, which could affect his accuracy and running ability. While I expect the Eagles to win and cover, I also don’t see them scoring a ton of points by any means. They will keep running Barkley and chewing that clock. Obviously it is a longshot that we can predict the exact score, but this one certainly wouldn’t shock me in the slightest.

AFC Championship: Chiefs 26 - Bills 20 (+12500, BetMGM)

Similar to the NFC Championship, I like the favorite in a lower-scoring contest. The public seems to be all over the Bills in this game, and I have to imagine some of that is because they are sick of seeing the Chiefs in the Super Bowl every season. However, it just seems like the NFL really wants them to be the first franchise to ever have a three-peat. From the favorable calls from refs to the sheer luck that they have been fortunate enough to receive, it feels like destiny.

Of course, Buffalo should be able to make a game out of this, and I could see it going to overtime which will drive up ratings. I think we get a lower-scoring game here as well, with both teams forced to kind of dink and dunk down the field in the cold. A score of 20-20 as the clock hits zero would not be shocking to me at all. A Chiefs TD in overtime would make it 26-20 as a final, and they would walk it off. I could also see a 23-20 final, which is at +8000 right now if you want to take a shot at that.

As always, please be responsible with bets like this. I am not a time traveler, so I can’t know the final exact score, but these are based on how I think the games will go. Some baby peanuts are all longshots like this should be played for.
