College Basketball Betting Guide for Tuesday, March 4: Best Bets & Player Prop Picks

Expert Picks, Spreads, and Props for Tuesday Night’s NCAAB Slate

Tuesday’s college basketball slate is packed with value, and I’m locked in on a few key matchups that present strong betting opportunities. Whether it’s a sharp spread play, a trap line to fade, or a player prop with a high probability of cashing, these are the best bets to target for tonight’s action.

We’ve reached the point in the season where every game matters, and oddsmakers are setting lines that will make you do a double-take. That’s where we come in—breaking down the numbers, reading the market, and making sure we’re on the right side of the action. Let’s dive into the top bets for Tuesday night’s college hoops slate.

#22 Texas A&M +5.5 vs. #1 Auburn (-110)

I really shouldn’t have to explain this one if you have been tailing my picks and wagers for a while, but just look at this spread and laugh with me. It is even worse now, as the line has moved down to +4.5 in some spaces. What are we even doing here with this line?

Auburn is the undisputed No. 1 team in the nation, with an unreal 27-2 record on the year. They have won nine of their last 10 games, have a fantastic 8-1 record on the road, and are 25-1 as a favorite. The Tigers have also covered seven of their last 10 games, and have a 17-11-1 ATS record on the year. This is a team that has looked unstoppable, and to the public eye, they pretty much are.

Texas A&M has lost four straight games and failed to cover a single one of them, looking lost and out of sync on both sides of the ball. They have dropped from a top-10 ranking down to just No. 22, and will fall out of the AP Poll if they lose this game, which would be their fifth in a row. They are at home here and their backs are against the wall. The Aggies need to win this game.

So you’re telling me that a team that has lost four straight and failed to cover a single one of those games is just a +4.5 underdog in some places to the No. 1 team in the nation with a 27-2 record? This line has only moved one way, and that is down. Sharp money is clearly on the Aggies here, and in a big way with how far this line has fallen.

Don’t be shocked when Auburn loses their third of the season tonight.

#10 Iowa State -9.5 vs. #23 BYU (-105, BetMGM)

Here is another game where the spread is just in that “point and laugh” mode. The oddsmakers 100% know what they are doing in many of these games, and this is just another example of that.

BYU is finally ranked after winning eight of their last 10 games. Not only that, but they have also been a covering machine during this recent run, going 8-2 ATS as well in their last 10. They have won and covered in five straight coming into this matchup with Iowa State, and have looked like one of the best teams in the nation.

Meanwhile, the Cyclones have lost two of their last three games, and are just 5-5 in their last 10. While they are 22-7 on the year, you could certainly say they have been on a cold streak lately compared to how they started the season. So, why are they massive -9.5 favorites here against a team that has been a red-hot machine as of late?

The bookmakers are very clearly trying to draw interest in the Cougars. Many public eyes will see how they have been winning and covering spreads non-stop lately, and now they will get +9.5 against a team that has lost two of their last three games. This is a trap line if I ever saw one, and I think the Cyclones rock them like a hurricane tonight.

Oregon G Jackson Shelstad Over 14.5 Points vs. Indiana (-110, BetMGM)

The Ducks star has been thriving in conference play thus far, averaging 15.8 points per game against Big-10 opponents in Oregon’s first season as part of the league. He managed at least 15 points in 11 of his last 15 games played, and the Hoosiers’ defense is average even when they are at their very best. This game is likely going to be close, as both Indiana and Oregon have been involved in a lot of close games to this point, which boosts a chance at OT.

Shelstad is a consistent scorer that should be able to get his tonight at home, and I think he is a solid option in terms of player props tonight.
