Dan Karpuc: Suns PF Royce O’Neale Over 2.5 Made Threes vs. Grizzlies (-125, BetMGM)
This month, the Grizzlies have allowed an NBA-high 9.7 wide-open threes (defender 6+ feet away) and now have allowed 8.6 such made threes per game on the season, most in the Association. When these two teams played a couple weeks ago, Mike Budenholzer elected to play small and give O’Neale 34 minutes off the bench, taking Nick Richards’ playing time and the veteran went 3-for-10 from three-point range. O’Neale has failed to get over this mark in his last two games, but cleared it in seven consecutive contests before that and is averaging 3.2 made threes on 7.7 attempts (41.6%) in the month of February. With so much focus on Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, O’Neale should find himself with some great looks once again. And guess what? No player in the NBA averages more wide open made threes (2.1) or attempts (5.2) per game than O’Neale. This is what I like to call a perfect matchup!
Lucy Burdge: Celtics -10.5 vs. Raptors (-115, BetMGM)
The Celtics have been covering a lot lately, they’ve covered in their last five games and they’ve won their last five. They’ve also covered their last four on the road. And the Raptors have not covered in two of their last three and they have only covered once in their last four. As the underdog, they have only covered once in their last three and the Celtics have covered their last five as the favorite. So I like the Celtics to cover this double-digit spread.
