Authorities confirmed that Milano was "uninjured" while her uncle was quickly taken to the hospital after the accident on a Los Angeles freeway, according to TMZ.

A press release from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that Milano was not driving and passenger of a 2020 Ford Edge SUV. The car was driven by Mitchell J. Carp, 63, who was unconscious and suffered a medical emergency.
Milano said the car drifted into another lane on the freeway when the vehicle hit a passing Black SUV. The actress told officials on the scene that she felt the collision on the right side of the car. In the release, it read, "with the assistance of a good Samaritan, they were eventually able to bring the Ford to a stop between the #1 and #2 lanes."
CHP reported that the Black SUV left the scene of the accident.
TMZ was first to report the collision, and sources on the scene say Milano gave CPR to her uncle before an ambulance arrived.
Milano was described as "the uninjured passenger" in the report and was picked up by her husband, David Bugliari.
Although the actress has not publicly spoken about the accident, she did post a related tweet in which she encouraged fans to "protect the people we love," including a stress on following COVID safety guidance, as well as learning CPR.
"We should all take every opportunity we have to protect the people we love," she wrote. "Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Lock up your guns. Learn CPR. Small, common-sense actions."
"It's not hard to take care of each other, but it is important," she added.
