Police discover lost ostrich and 'escort' him home

Here's a good reminder of the fact that there's no routine service call for a first responder.

The St. Charles County Police Department shared a photo after the successful wrangling of a lost ostrich.

Police say "Clyde the Ostrich" was walking by himself through a neighborhood.

"Luckily, Sgt. Davis and D Platoon officers located him and safely escorted him home," police say.

Good thing Clyde wasn't out for run or dead sprint, as ostriches are known to be able to run as fast as 45 MPH.
