Something is a-buzz in Russia.
Freaky video from over the weekend show swarming mosquitoes create thick “tornadoes” in the daytime sky.

The footage, which has gone viral on social media, was captured in Kamchatka, a peninsula in far-east Russia.
A video of the incident reshared by CBS News meteorologist Jeff Berardelli shows the insects darting through the air amid the dense sound of buzzing.
“Breaking news: I’m issuing an official mosquito #tornado warning,” Berardelli quipped.
For area residents, the bugs were a nuisance.
“I drove through the cloud of these mosquitoes for several hundred metres,” said Alexei, a local from Ust-Kamchatsk, per The US Sun.
“It wasn’t a pleasant experience as I could hardly see the road,” he said.
“I didn’t dare open my windows,” he went on, before adding: “Giant pillars of mosquitoes were visible everywhere I looked.”
He dramatically described the sight: "I could see some of them breaking apart only to get back together into a new tornado.”
According to experts, the infestation is actually a normal behavioral pattern of mating.
“These are male mosquitoes swarming around one of several females in order to mate - there is nothing wrong with this,” explained entomologist Lyudmila Lobkova, per The Sun.
