Macaulay Culkin says he likes to stay “home alone” during the holiday season. How’s that for irony?
The ‘90s child star, who will forever be remembered for his role as Kevin McCallister in the holiday film franchise, Home Alone, actually tries to stay out of the public spotlight each holiday season.
Culkin made the revelation to Ellen DeGeneres that he tries to avoid the public spectacle between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.
“It’s my season,” he told Ellen. “I try to go out less and less.”
In fact, he doesn't even watch the film on his own. The actor (who is now 37 years old) said that he last watched the movie when they recorded a special commentary for the film's 15th anniversary.
Remember that iconic scene where Kevin puts his hands on his face wtih after shave in the bathroom?
Yeah, don't ask Culkin to ever recreate that face, he joked.
