NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Some students at Montclair State University are upset over the campus police responded to a fight in a school parking lot that was caught on video.

Videos posted to social media show the officers, with guns drawn, yelling "get out of the car" and telling the two students to remain calm as they handcuffed them.

Students took to social media saying the police response to the Wednesday afternoon incident was an overreaction.

A spokesperson for the university is defending the officers saying, "The primary role of university policy is to keep the campus safe," 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck reported.

The university added, "No one was injured" and "the process worked."
