'The Bachelor's Colton Underwood Opens Up About 'Scary' Coronavirus Diagnosis

Former “Bachelor” star and NFL player, Colton Underwood, chatted with the "Morning Magic" show about life in quarantine, being diagnosed with coronavirus, and his new tell-all book.

Underwood shared a health update after revealing that he was one of the first to test positive for COVID-19 in March.

He acknowledged that he’s “doing much better now,” but admitted it was a “scary” experience.

“There was a lot of different emotions running through me, but I’m healthy, I’m good now, and I’m helping how I can,” he told the show.

Underwood said he’s taken to social media to speak out about the novel virus particularly to warn young adults that they aren’t immune from it.

“This isn’t just for older people, it’s not just for people with preexisting conditions, this is for everybody,” the 28-year-old said warning about the seriousness of the respiratory illness that was deemed a global pandemic.

Since his diagnosis, Underwood has been quarantined with his girlfriend Cassie Randolph and her family at their home in Huntington Beach, CA.

In his recent book titled “The First Time,” Underwood is very open about his relationship with Cassie.

He admits that coming off of such high-profile show like “The Bachelor” puts a lot of pressure on a relationship.

In fact, he believes that’s the reason there isn’t much of a success rate for former contestants in the romance and relationship department.

“Coming off a show like that you have these expectations, you have this pressure, you have so many people looking at you, idolizing you for a relationship when you’re just like them, you’re still trying to figure it out, you’re still trying to know what’s right and what’s not right,” he admitted.

Underwood also played a fun game called “What Is It Like to Quarantine with Colton,” and revealed he’d rather binge watch “Law & Order: SVU” over “Tiger King,” he would choose savory snacks like cheese and chips over ice cream and candy, and he sees nothing wrong with wearing sweatpants on Zoom.

In other words, he’d make the perfect quarantine buddy!
