Chicago Cubs fan, Stefan Xidas, made his dream come true, when he sang the “Star-Spangled Banner” at Wrigley Field in front of nearly 40,000 fans.
The 30-year-old Special Olympics tennis athlete made a deal with Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts: if he raised $5,000 for the Special Olympics Organization, then he could sing the National Anthem at a game. So far Stefan has raised more $19,000.
He also hung out with his favorite ball players at the game. Stefan’s performance definitely hit it out of the park, and even more so with his fundraising efforts.
