David’s Bridal’s new commercial is showing that inclusion is what is most in fashion for the upcoming wedding season.
The "rewriting the rules" ad features a same-sex couple - a first for the 60-year-old company. The 30-second spot also shows an interracial couple exchanging vows, as well as one saying “I do” with a young child in hand.
The ad was released just months after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. David’s Bridal says the commercial reflects how the retailer values “every type of bride."
