When it comes to trying to eat healthy, cauliflower may be the current culinary craze. But Dr. Oz says, not so fast with this veggie substitute.
"Cauliflower rice, which is literally just ground up cauliflower is healthy because they don’t have to put any additives in there. When you have 15 ingredients in your pizza crust with cauliflower, you have to get a little concerned, especially if cauliflower is not the first of them," Dr. Oz says.
It may just be better to stick with the original food, rather spoiling it with artificial additives.
"If you’re going to make cauliflower rice, good. You can make some cauliflower pasta, maybe, depending on how many ingredients they’ve added...Aand cauliflower pizza, in general, you’re probably not going to get that much of a benefit... But generally speaking, just eat the regular old pizza, or don’t have the pizza that day, which is even better."
We’ll just go with the pizza this time!
