It was an emotional reunion for the Kilpatrick family seeing their dog, Alfie, after he went missing for more than four months.
There were tears of joy and hugs, when he was found across the country, according to the Galway Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
They say he had been stolen and is not only lucky to be reunited but also just to be alive.
The Kilpatrick family is so happy to have Alfie back safe and say they never gave up that he would come home.
